Why We Love It
Built in 1889, the historic Lone Cone Restaurant is ripe with history from Norwood’s past. The historic bar, originally commissioned for Rico, Colorado’s Enterprise Saloon, was handmade by the Brunswick Co. in St. Louis. The bar came by railroad to Montrose and then by way of horse team to Rico. In 1926 the historic bar moved to the Grand Imperial Hotel in Silverton, Colorado and in October of 1940, was moved to Norwood where it found a permanent home within the Lone Cone Saloon.
Locally owned and family operated, Kristi’s at The Lone Cone embodies Norwood’s heritage with its fresh new take on home-style cooking, as well as its cozy, historic atmosphere and laid-back western vibe. Kristi’s at The Lone Cone offers organic, locally roasted coffee from Buckhorn Coffee, handmade bread from Blue Grouse Bread as well as savory hamburgers made with local grass-fed beef from Laid Back Ranch.
