Next up is Norwood Pit Stop, located at 1645 Grand Avenue. As part of the Carquest Auto Parts network, the Pit Stop offers a wide selection of high-quality auto parts, tools, and equipment for both professional mechanics and everyday drivers in our community and beyond.
The auto parts store provides the community with a wide range of automotive components and accessories including batteries, brakes, filters, and fluids for virtually all makes of automobiles, as well as light and heavy-duty trucks, off-road equipment, buses, recreational vehicles and agricultural equipment.
Jeremy and Carrie Townsend purchased the auto parts store in April of 2022. They employ six to seven individuals. The Norwood Pit Stop team is a helpful resource for the local community, providing expert advice and support to help customers keep their vehicles in top condition.
“Our mission is to provide fast and friendly service,” Jeremy stated. “We want to ensure our customers can find everything they need for vehicle maintenance and repairs regardless of whether it’s for routine maintenance or unexpected issues. Our freight comes in five days a week which helps us keep a good inventory for our customers.”
The Pit Stop further extends its services by offering delivery to the surrounding areas, including the West End and Telluride. They also create hydraulic hoses on-site for a variety of purposes.
Beyond keeping the area’s autos running smoothly, Norwood Pit Stop is deeply committed to the local community. The business actively participates in the Norwood Chamber of Commerce, working alongside other local enterprises to promote economic growth and development within the region. Their involvement extends beyond just business activities; Jeremy and Carrie are strong supporters of local schools, particularly in sponsoring sports programs. By contributing to these causes, they help local students have the resources they need to succeed, both on and off the field.
In addition to their support of education, Norwood Pit Stop is also a proud sponsor of various community events, including the annual fair and rodeo.
Jeremy believes that giving back to the community is essential for the success of any local business. “We wouldn’t be here without the support of the community, so we try to give back when we can,” Jeremy explained. This philosophy of mutual support ensures that Norwood Pit Stop is not just a business but a pillar of the community, contributing to the well-being and vitality of the area.
Their contributions help to build a stronger, more connected community, where local businesses and residents support one another. Whether through providing essential automotive services, supporting local youth, or sponsoring cherished community events, Norwood Pit Stop demonstrates that their investment in the community goes far beyond the walls of their store.
