Whether you’re in need of a dozen eggs, a full cart of groceries, or simply want to see a smiling face, Clark’s Market in Norwood is there for you.
Open 7 days a week from 7am to 9pm, the existing store became Clark’s in 2020. It is managed by Marco Dominguez who oversees the team of 25 employees. “This team is a group of people who put passion into their work and are always willing to help each other and the customers,” Marco stated. “We all come in every day, ready to give our best – to ensure we are meeting and exceeding expectations.”
Not only does Clark’s crew keep the shelves stoked and the deli and check-out lines flowing, the store plays a very active role in the community. A long-standing member of the Chamber of Commerce, Clark’s to the food bank and school food drives, supports local law enforcement charity projects, and so much more.
“We host Non-Profit Mondays where we pick local non-profit organizations who receive 5% of the sales on their designated business day,” Marco explained. “We also participate in 4H by purchasing a steer and are a sponsor for the Rodeo and Jr. Rodeo too.”
“Halloween, we dress up and run a booth at the school carnival,” assistant manager Sadie Lopez said. “We provide Mother’s Day cakes for kids to decorate with frosting and sprinkles.”.
“I like that we help where we can,” Marco commented. “I know we can’t always help but the company is good at finding a way to when we can. We are honored to be an active part of the Norwood community and having employees from Redvale, Nucla, and Naturita helps us navigate the events and needs in those communities too.”
“I enjoy working at Clark’s because of the individual creativity,” Marco concluded. “Each store is run just a little differently to fit the needs of the community and store.”
Future plans for Clark’s Market include adding an area in the front of the store where local artists and crafters can sell their creations. The idea was the brainstorm of assistant manager, Sadie Lopez. “We’re excited, Sadie said. “It’ll be good for the artists and the customers.”
