Blue Grouse Bread
Our Company: Blue Grouse Bread is a collaboration between two cousins, Ben and Hannah Rossman. Our passion for locally sourced and quality ingredients drives the high standard we hold for our organic hearth-baked breads. Located in Norwood, Colorado, we are a wholesale only, artisan bread bakery.
Our Product: All of our breads are slow fermented using natural levains from our sourdough starter. This produces breads with an excellent flavor and amazing shelf life. A loaf of Blue Grouse Bread will stay fresh for 4-5 days if stored properly, without the use of any unnatural preservatives. We use a steam injected hearth oven to bake our breads resulting in a beautiful open interior and a golden crust.
Our Ingredients: We care deeply about the quality and sources of our ingredients. All of our flours are organically grown, heirloom variety or local when possible. 100% of our whole wheat is grown in Colorado and milled, in house, at our bakery in Norwood. The results in unparalleled flavor and nutrition. All of our whole grain flour is milled 1-2 days before the bread is baked. Our choice of ingredients is driven by our goals as business owners to support the local food movement in our region through our purchases and products.
