Each quarter in 2022, the Norwood Chamber of Commerce will highlight many of its business members. On deck for the third quarter of the year are the chamber’s lodging business members.
Whether it be hotels, inns, bed & breakfasts, vacation rentals, AirBnb’s or VRBO’s, lodging is the lifeblood of Norwood’s tourism economy and the primary funding source for the Norwood Chamber of Commerce. The lodging tax that San Miguel County implements is divided between two districts, the Telluride School District and the Norwood School District.
Lodging tax collected within the Norwood School District is then distributed to the Norwood Chamber of Commerce and ear marked primarily for tourism marketing and beautification, along with a number of interests including member business support and the promotion of events.
The chamber’s lodging business members are vital in helping promote Norwood and Wright’s Mesa through marketing, bringing tourism dollars into the region, and helping to sustain a vibrant and prosperous local economy. Check out the Chamber’s featured lodging business members below!
